What can I use Swar for?
Dictate into text fields, record and transcribe meetings, keep notes, and explore your activity. With the optional local AI model, you can create meeting outlines, ask questions about saved material and build a knowledge graph.
Does it work offline?
Speech recognition runs on your computer after the initial model download. Outlines, Chat and knowledge extraction also run locally once their optional model is downloaded. Downloads and optional calendar connections need internet access.
What do I need to get started?
The current installer is for Windows 11 x64. First launch downloads the speech model. AI outlines, Chat and knowledge features need a separate model download of about 2.2 GB. Processing speed depends on your computer.
Does Swar identify everyone in a meeting?
It separates your microphone from the computer’s audio and labels transcript lines by those channels. It does not identify individual people speaking through the same computer-audio channel.
Can I check the original transcript?
Yes. Meeting transcripts offer Original, Readable and Compare views after you generate a readable version. The original is kept, so you can review changes alongside it. AI-generated outlines and answers should be checked against their sources.
Is Swar free? Is there a Mac version?
Swar is free to install and use, with no account required. Windows is available now. A macOS build is not available yet.
